Mattia, the owner was great. I loved that he took time in the mornings to sit down with guests to help them plan their days. He had great insight into the city and great recommendations. He was very personable, but professional at the same time.
The room was on the small side, although we didn't mind at all. The courtyard was beautiful, so if we were there during the day we spent time there.

The location was great, the atmosphere was relaxed and was very easy to navigate the city from here and find my way back. I was a solo traveler and making my stay was ideal. The owner is not around after 1 pm but in the mornings he is more than helpful with suggestions, plans, and help with things such as information on trains. Highly recommend this place.

Very helpful owner (?) who loves his city and wants to share it with guests. Breakfast included some of the best bread/rolls I've ever eaten! View from room window included canals and always interesting.
Only storage in room was a cupboard with hangers and one shelf - really not enough room for clothing. Tiny fridge and TV.

I would recommend this b and b as a friendly and relaxed place to stay. I stayed in the single room, which is very small, but has the advantage of overlooking the garden. And as there is so much to see in Venice I spent little time in my room! Breakfast was good, as many expressos/cappuchinos as you could manage expertly made, with the opportunity to chat to other guests and the owner Mattia. Mattia is kind and helpful, with excellent recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. The location too is great - 5 min walk to the vaporetto stop and about 10 mins to the railway station. This was my 4th visit to Venice and Canneregio has become my favourite sestiere. I would stay here again - already planning my next trip to Venice!

very nice guesthouse. It is extremely clean and renewed. The garden is nice to take breakfast and for sure the host is very nice. He indeed has much good tips on where to go in Venice, which allows you to enjoy even more.
It is a pity that the bathroom is not in the room (although private) but this I guess is a consequence of small Venice Houses.

I had the pleasure of staying at 3749 Pontechiodo Bed & Breakfast and it was an excellent experience. The owner, Mattia, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the area, providing me with maps and tips for exploring Venice. The breakfast served in the charming garden was delicious and the freshly squeezed orange juice was a standout. The location was perfect, situated in a quieter part of the island, yet still within easy reach of restaurants, shops, and the water bus for convenient transportation. I highly recommend this charming guest house for your stay in Venice.

Personally, I liked living in a residential area that was convenient to shops, supermarkets, two of them, a wonderful relaxing square (Campo Apostoli) where one can sit and read the paper watching tourists and residents going to and from the Rialto and San Marco. There is no place in the world like Venice, mainly because there are no cars or motorcycles and the street vibe is pretty much simpatico. I met wonderful people at Pontechiodo from Victoria BC, Essex, UK, Germany etc. The owner, Matthia and his helper are as personable and best of all never overbearing or obsessive in any way. The A/C was helpful on certain days although I was lucky enough to have almost flawless weather.
I can't think of anything negative to say about it.

The property was clean and well kept, and the little garden really added to the charm. The best thing about the property, though, is Mattia. I looked forward to our breakfast conversations, and it is because of him that I was able to experience the best of Venice in the short time that I was there. I especially appreciated his directions for getting to the airport. Things went off without a hitch, and I was relatively stress-free when I arrived!
